Gat-Jéung (拮掌) is a short-range, snapping palm technique expressing Jut Ging (拮勁) — a sharp, sudden, inward-drawing energy. Rather than pushing or striking with power from the shoulder, it uses elbow-driven, spring-like energy to jerk, pull, or shock the opponent’s structure momentarily. It is the palm-based counterpart of Jut Sau (拮手) — where the hand remains open, allowing the energy to be released through the heel of the palm.
